Scope of Work
Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performs routine tasks under direct supervision. Demonstrates knowledge of electrical materials and tools. Demonstrates safe working habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
Conduit bending and installation
Quality installation of trim out
Knows wire pulling procedures
Knowledge of tools and materials
Wall rough in
Fixture rough in
Possess skills of lower E Rating Job Title (E2- E4)
Skills
Positively identify colors of wires.
Read and interpret prints and schematics.
Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
Practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Policy Handbook, Haz Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.
Operates two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints and written instructions.
Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
Physical Requirements
Personal weight and tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladders (Class 1-250lbs, Class 2-300lbs).
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over head.
Lift 51 pounds, 20 times per day. Constantly move about on the feet.
Climb ladders of all types.Complete full day assignments involving overhead work.
Must be able to transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and access all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is an OSHA-approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction.
Possess good vision, normal or corrected.
Must be capable of securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
Possess good hearing, normal or corrected.
Must be able to positively identify different colors of wiring.
Working Conditions
May work inside or outside while wearing required personal protective equipment at all times; possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, weather elements, dust, toxic materials, in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces; work at all elevations including ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, in ditches and excavations; works in and around single and multi-story buildings with all exposures typical of a heavy construction site, including portable sanitary facilities.
