
Loan Officer Assistant (Experience Required)

Position Overview
The Loan Officer Assistant works in a dynamic mortgage lending environment and provides support to Lauren Maxwell, EVP of CrossCountry Mortgage, to help increase loan production activities. This role collaborates closely with loan officers, processors, clients, real estate partners, and branch leadership to help ensure a positive customer experience and efficient, timely loan closings.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum one year mortgage experience required.
Assist in taking and reviewing mortgage loan applications and related documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Track outstanding items on loan files and follow up with customers to ensure required documentation is received.
Review documents and loan files to identify and help resolve potential issues, collaborating with loan officers, clients, processors, and other team members.
Clarify or correct information and obtain additional details as needed through phone, email, or other communication channels.
Provide general clerical, administrative, and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors as needed.
Support management and team members in various stages of the lending and processing workflow, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license, preferred.
High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent.
Advanced prioritization and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
1+ years of experience in a loan officer, loan support, or mortgage‑related role involving customer contact.
