TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Decatur, Georgia.
Responsibilities
Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
Monitor patient during all procedures
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques on patient and operator exposure to ensure adequate safeguards
Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to radiologic procedures to interpret examination requests accurately
Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps as required
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
State-specific licensing when required
Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
