
Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist

As an Advanced R&D Engineer, you will provide technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for alternative position, navigation, and timing systems. You will use your knowledge of systems design, integration, and architecture development to support breakthrough product development and serve as the focal point for systems architecture development and integration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. You will spearhead our MBSE adoption strategy and support new business opportunities and pursuits with integrated sales and business technical support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New product design & development
System design, development and documentation
Aircraft architecture integration
Process development and refinement
Deployment of model based systems engineering tools and practices
Support estimation of customer proposals and writing of technical volumes
Technical reporting and customer interface
Coordinator between interdisciplinary teams
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in systems design in an aerospace R&D environment or similar field
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and customers
WE VALUE
Master’s Degree in Engineering
In‑depth knowledge of avionics systems, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and electrical systems
Knowledge of inertial, GPS, or alternative PNT sensors
Familiarity with avionics hardware and software development processes, including design, development, verification, and validation
Experience with digital engineering concepts, MBSE, digital twin, digital thread
BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL
The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 – $144,000.
