Responsibilities

Ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation, company policies and promoting a safe work environment.

Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including trucks and wheel loaders.

Complete required paperwork, including maintenance requests, parts, service work orders, invoices and safety documentation.

Adhere to all safety regulations set by the company.

Maintain a clean work environment and keep all equipment and the facility orderly.

Keep and turn in maintenance needs forms, parts and service work orders, invoices, and safety documentation.

The mechanic will work in varying weather conditions, dusty and noisy areas, and may be required to walk, bend, stoop, lift or work in awkward or strained positions. Some hazard is involved due to working in and around trucks and machinery. Overtime and occasional weekends may be requested based on business needs.

Qualifications
1–3 years of experience with diesel trucks and various heavy equipment; experience on ready mix trucks highly desirable. Knowledge and experience must include but are not limited to brake service and repair, proper servicing of equipment, electrical knowledge, troubleshooting skills of all equipment, and machine shop familiarity. A CDL license is a plus. The candidate must be self‑motivated, take pride in their work and always put safety first. Own tools for heavy equipment work are required. Forklift certification is preferred.
