ReconCraft is seeking a Deburring & Finishing Technician to join our boat manufacturing team on the daytime shift in Clackamas, Oregon. This role focuses on deburring, grinding, and finishing metal and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. The position offers hands‑on experience in boat production and is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in manufacturing while developing foundational technical skills in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from fabricated parts using grinders, sanders, and hand tools to ensure components are safe and production‑ready.
Clean, smooth, and prepare metal components for welding, coating, or assembly.
Work alongside CNC operators to learn proper deburring techniques, tool usage, and safety standards.
Conduct visual and tactile inspections to verify parts meet company quality standards.
Properly use and maintain grinders, sanding tools, and other equipment; ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Assist with general shop tasks, including material handling and basic support for CNC operations.
Track completed work and report defects or inconsistencies to supervisors.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Trade school training or hands‑on shop experience preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Strong attention to detail
Ability to use hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Comfortable working in a shop environment (noise, dust, and varying temperatures)

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Adaptability: Willingness to follow direction and assist in other areas
