Position
Engineer – Northwood, OH
Responsibilities
Perform 2D and 3D designs in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor
Collaborate with managers, designers, field techs, customers, drafters, and administration
Develop designs, including specifications and calculations, to document compliance with project and code requirements
Perform engineering calculations for foundations, reinforced concrete structures and components, structural steel frames, and similar concrete and steel structural components and systems
Generate fully compliant civil/structural drawings for layouts, building sections, plans, details, foundation details, steelwork details and architectural feature design
Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications, including supervision of engineers and designers in document development
Provide technical expertise and guidance to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
Qualifications
Civil engineer with structural major or P.E. license
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
Comfortable visiting client facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders
Proficient in structural design (conveyors, structural towers, and foundation work are a plus)
Experience drafting infrastructure based on field measurements or provided drawings, while meeting time and budget constraints
