NOTE: This is a hybrid/local position.

Position Summary
The Systems Administrator serves as the primary technical resource in a small team environment for day‑to‑day operations and is responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Bithgroup’s IT environment, including Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud, and on‑premises infrastructure, networks, endpoints, and core business systems, while ensuring availability, performance, and supportability across the organization.

This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role that reports to the VP of Information Technology. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with IT leadership on priorities, process improvements, automation, compliance, and long‑term planning initiatives, aligning with evolving best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day‑to‑day administration of Bithgroup’s IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud, and on‑premises systems, networks, endpoints, and related platforms, with additional support provided to Managed Service clients as needed.

Own security, network, and backup/recovery operations to ensure data availability and integrity.

Install, configure, secure, update, document, and monitor servers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, endpoints, cloud services, and supporting infrastructure.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, connectivity, and security issues.

Document and maintain IT inventory, configurations, and SOPs.

Contribute to SOC 2 compliance initiatives supporting audits, gathering evidence, and maintaining security controls.

Collaborate with leadership to review internal processes and recommend improvements, new solutions, and workflow efficiencies.

Support and effectively manage timely Helpdesk and technical support for end‑users.

Co‑author Incident Reports and oversee escalations.

Provide training and guidance to end‑users and junior staff as needed.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of relevant systems administration experience.

Strong background in Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, Entra ID, and Exchange.

Fluent with PowerShell and multiple OS: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.

Familiarity with Hyper‑V virtual environments and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Comfortable with scripting automation and light coding.

Ability to independently manage recurring operational work and own tasks through to completion.
