Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse operations by accurately picking and packaging orders, palletizing materials, and loading trucks for shipment. This role works from order sheets to verify correct items, assists with receiving inventory and cycle counts, and provides support to will-call customers. The position combines hands‑on material handling, forklift operation, basic data entry, and customer‑facing service in a small, collaborative warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Pick orders accurately from order sheets, verifying that the correct items, quantities, and specifications are selected before packaging.
Package and palletize products securely to ensure safe and damage‑free shipment.
Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely, including operating forklifts and handling materials by hand.
Operate a forklift to move, stage, and organize inventory throughout the warehouse.
Receive incoming inventory, verify shipments against documentation, and assist with putting materials away in the correct locations.
Assist with regular cycle counts and inventory control activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
Use scan guns, RF scanners, and ERP/computer systems to enter data, track inventory, and update order status.
Interact with will‑call customers, providing friendly and professional customer service when picking up orders.
Help manage and organize paperwork related to orders, shipping, and inventory with a high level of accuracy.
Drive and maneuver a box truck as needed, including loading and unloading materials safely.
Support general labor tasks in the warehouse, including maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.
Essential Skills
Proven forklift experience, preferably with large sit‑down lifts used in a metal shop or lumber yard.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify items for accuracy and manage paperwork correctly.
Ability to use scan guns, RF scanners, and basic computer systems to support order processing and inventory tracking.
Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with will‑call customers and internal team members.
Comfort operating and driving a box truck, including loading and unloading materials.
Capability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs frequently and up to 120 lbs on occasion.
Experience in shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks and palletizing materials.
General warehouse and material handling experience in a fast‑paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience entering data into a computer or using an ERP system; experience with SyteLine ERP is a plus.
Experience in order picking and inventory control in a warehouse setting.
Experience working with metal, roofing, construction, or building materials is beneficial.
Comfort performing general labor tasks and adapting to a variety of warehouse duties as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
