The company is known for delivering high quality work while maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, property managers, building owners, and end users.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are recruiting an Account Manager responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships within the commercial construction market. This role works closely with estimating, project management, and operations to pursue and secure commercial flooring projects while ensuring a strong client experience from proposal through project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to current and prospective customer inquiries.
Identify and develop relationships with general contractors, property managers, building owners, and end users.
Develop competitive advantages on project opportunities including pricing strategy, scope positioning, and relationship development.
Work closely with the estimating team to provide accurate information for quantity takeoffs, costing, and proposal preparation.
Review and present proposals to clients and follow up to address questions and secure project awards.
Maintain accurate and current activity within the CRM system.
Review work orders for accuracy prior to submission to accounting.
Participate in project meetings to support progress and ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate internally to keep projects aligned with scope, schedule, and client expectations.
Submit new clients for credit approval prior to pursuing projects.
Review larger project opportunities with leadership prior to committing company resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
7 to 10 years of sales experience, ideally within commercial construction.
Flooring industry experience strongly.
Proven track record of developing new business and managing client relationships.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and accounts.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to travel within the territory which may include Tacoma to Bellingham.
