
Associate Attorney

Overview
Our general practice firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to help with our high volume of litigation cases and trial preparation. Your tasks include, but are not limited to: drafting legal documents, assisting with the discovery process, and performing legal research for family law/immigration/criminal cases. While we always make efforts to negotiate fair settlements on behalf of clients in advance of trial, we do need someone who can properly represent our clients’ interests at trial. Entry level applicants are welcome to apply, but some experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings
Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents
Negotiate settlements
Perform legal research
Make court appearances as necessary
Conduct initial consultations with potential clients
Maintain individual caseload (book of clientele not necessary to apply)
Qualifications
JD degree from an accredited law school
License to practice law (or pending)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical skills
Attention to detail
Good time management skills
Highly motivated individual
Work Location and Schedule

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
