This position provides ID card services to students, employees and patrons at NSU. Responsibilities also include management of the point of sale systems and associated hardware for all food services. Duties include but are not limited to printing IDs, managing ID equipment and software, facilitating the process to generate and distribute ID cards, and maintaining the point of sale systems. Position will also manage the University Center Welcome Desk.
Major Duties

Manages UC Welcome Desk functions
Serves as the campus card system administrator
Performs technical and administrative duties in support of ID card functions
Serves as the point of sale system administrator for systems associated with the campus card
Works with technical support regarding issues related to software and equipment affiliated with the ID and POS systems
Performs various functions within the ID card system, such as establishing new users, loading meal plans, troubleshooting issues and maintaining user profiles
Works with programmers for university systems to manage interfaces associated with ID functions
Issues ID cards to students, parents, faculty and staff, vendors, conference attendees, etc.
Generate and utilize ID card and POS system reports
Develops and manages budgets
Maintains ID Services webpage and forms
Skill to listen and communicate regarding issues presented by end users and be able to explain causes and implement solutions
Skill in the operation of computers and software programs
Ability to provide excellent customer service to students, employees and the general public
Experience using Excel for reporting and data analysis
Skill in operating a camera and printing equipment
The supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
Guidelines include department and university policies and procedures, and user guidelines. These guidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require some interpretation in application.
The work consists of related administrative and technical duties. The potential for equipment or software to malfunction contributes to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to accomplish assigned duties in the ID card operation, POS operation and Welcome Center. Success in this position contributes to a positive experience for students, staff, faculty and other card users.
Contacts are typically with co-workers, university department end users, students, technical support personnel and with the general public. Contacts are typically to provide services, to give or exchange information, or to resolve problems.
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects. The work is typically performed in an office or public area.
This position has no direct supervision over assigned personnel.
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Experience resolving computer related issues
Experience of a minimum of two (2)years in similar administrative or technical position using specialized software, printers, or cameras
Annual salary $37,908.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
