Armed Security Officers/Supervisor
Experienced Armed Security Officer needed in Fort Madison/Burlington, IA area
PT/12-hour/Weekends (Saturday 6am-6pm & Sunday 6pm-6am) - $21/hr - Weekly Pay
As an Armed Security Officer with Genric, you will be responsible for the safety and security of our client's property and personnel, as well as your co-workers. Responsibilities:
Ensure that all personnel are familiar with and comply with Genric policies and procedures.
Must possess a solid understanding of, comply with, and enforce client policies.
Responsible for all tasking and is a liaison with client
Responsible for the welfare of those employed by client
Responds to any security emergency that occurs at the client site while on duty
Responsible for providing security support to the client's management/employees as requested
Will conduct or oversee investigations completed by security while on duty
Liaison with outside agencies as required
Conduct spot checks on all personnel to ensure that everything is operating to standards
Responds to miscellaneous issues presented by client
Ensure all Time Sheets are accurately completed and submitted as per Genric's policy
Ensure all company and operational communications are disseminated to the Operations Coordinator
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and legible manner.
Report any unusual or suspicious activity accordingly
Ensure all doors are operational reporting problems, as needed.
Ensure all Genric reports are completed and any issues resolved.
Address any issues and concerns in a timely manner
Be available to the client throughout shift
Suggest and implement any improvements in procedures
Highlight equipment deficiencies or potential improvements
Ensure all Genric weapons policies and procedures are followed.
Escort client's visitors to their vehicle, as requested
Carry out other instructions, as required
Qualifications:
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess High School diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid Iowa driver's license
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Experience as an Armed Security Officer
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard
Must be well organized and possess effective written and oral communication skills to accurately maintain completed logs and reports
Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional manner
Possess intermediate computer skills
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
Ability to follow established security protocols, while using initiative and good judgment
