What the role is about:
The Production Planner & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for aligning cultivation and processing activities to ensure consistent product availability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role owns production scheduling, inventory planning, and procurement coordination across the entire production lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset and the ability to balance demand planning with real-time production constraints in a regulated cannabis environment. The position reports
What impact you'll make:
Production Planning & Scheduling
Champion the monthly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) cycle with collaboration between Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
Coordinate with cultivation to align the crop schedule with forecasted market demand.
Monitor cultivation yields and production KPIs to proactively adjust schedules based on real-time data.
Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints; implement solutions to optimize throughput.
Maintain short- and long-term production plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination
Champion monthly MRP (Material Requirements Planning) of packaging, raw materials, and operational supplies.
Work within ERP/procurement systems to manage purchase orders, approvals, and receipts.
Create and update purchase orders, item records, and vendor information
Record receipts, consumption, and inventory movements in real time Perform cycle counts and reconcile system inventory with physical counts
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Create and update production BOMs as needed
Maintain clean, audit-ready data to support reporting and compliance
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure all planning, inventory, and supply chain activities comply with state cannabis regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits, recalls, and inspections.
Generate and present reports on production performance, inventory health, and supply chain metrics.
Support S&OP development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you've accomplished:
Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
37+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations (cannabis, agriculture, CPG, or manufacturing preferred).
Experience working in a regulated environment is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) and inventory tracking platforms.
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel or data analysis capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
