Job Details
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Assistant Project Manager to join our Commercial Construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large scale projects in various sectors including healthcare, MOB, healthcare clinics, libraries, schools, K-12, university, multifamily, with a project portfolio of $20M+. This role requires a dynamic individual who can comfortably handle multi-faceted projects and maintain a sense of urgency towards project completion. You will work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project.
Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
Act as a liaison between the construction team, clients, and stakeholders.
Review and monitor project progress, ensuring that timelines and quality standards are met.
Identify, analyze, and resolve project issues promptly.
Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure smooth execution of the project.
Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation.
Implement and monitor safety procedures on the construction site.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction management.
Proven track record in managing large scale projects ($20M+) in healthcare, MOB, healthcare clinics, libraries, schools, K-12, university, multifamily sectors.
Exceptional knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
