Materials Planner III – Cummins Inc.
Our client, a global leader in power solutions and advanced manufacturing, is seeking a Materials Planner III to join their team. You will be part of the Supply Chain & Materials Planning department supporting global manufacturing sites, suppliers, logistics, and trade compliance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
Job Title: Materials Planner III
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Pay Range: $47.48/hour
What’s the Job?
Plan, order, and expedite materials required for the manufacturing process across 7 global sites
Maintain proactive communication with suppliers to track order status, delivery timelines, and resolve supply issues
Coordinate with logistics and Trade Compliance teams to ensure on-time material delivery
Analyze supplier performance data and maintain spreadsheets/databases to support planning activities
Support production scheduling, inventory alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree required
Proven experience in materials planning or supply chain roles in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience working with suppliers and cross‑functional teams in a global setting
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and manage large data sets
Experience with Oracle systems preferred (or similar ERP tools)
