Central Scheduler
The Central Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting daily operations by managing employee schedules, workforce logistics, and staffing coordination. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules, managing time-off requests, monitoring attendance, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to support continuous operations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and scheduling coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Create, publish, and maintain weekly and monthly employee schedules ensuring 24/7 operational coverage
Adjust staffing plans based on call-ins, schedule changes, and operational needs
Communicate schedule updates, shift changes, and emergency staffing needs to employees
Process vacation, sick time, and PTO requests while maintaining adequate staffing levels
Monitor employee hours to manage overtime and ensure labor law compliance
Track attendance and resolve timekeeping discrepancies in coordination with HR
Maintain accurate records within scheduling and workforce management systems
Coordinate scheduling adjustments for training, events, and operational requirements
Ensure employees are scheduled according to qualifications and role requirements
Prepare reports and support operational leadership as needed
Collaborate with department managers, dispatch, supervision, and HR teams
Privacy & Compliance
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee and patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and organizational policies
Participate in required compliance and privacy training programs
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
Experience in scheduling, operations coordination, HR support, or administrative roles preferred
Strong computer and software proficiency (scheduling or workforce systems experience a plus)
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
