Commissioning Regional Manager
AECOM is seeking a talented Commissioning Regional Manager to be located in Boston, Washington DC, Charlotte, Miami, Los Angeles or Houston. The position is Hybrid and will include the following responsibilities and skills:
Engineering:
Provide commissioning technical leadership with region.
Ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed upon cost, quality, schedule and profit.
Initiates and leads all phases of comprehensive design through post-occupancy commissioning.
Leads development of AECOM provides commissioning specifications, commissioning plan, procedures, and content.
Lead Quality Control Verifier for AECOM developed commissioning procedures.
Project Management:
Interface with clients on schedules, meetings and issues (manage client expectations).
Advise senior management of the project status on a regular basis.
Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiate plans for alternative actions
Complies with AECOM project manager guidelines and reporting duties including but not limited to:
Project Execution
Project Deadlines
Client Communication
Team Utilization
Estimate at Completion (EAC)
Billings
Collections
Business Development:
Identify and lead key pursuits and develop successful win strategies.
Lead client relationship/business development activities through early interaction, "scope of work" development, interviews, and on-going client maintenance interface.
Work with other practice leaders to develop AECOM's competitive positioning strategy.
Lead or contribute to commissioning proposal development, including technical approach and pricing.
Participate in short-list interview process as subject matter expert and/or project lead.
Team Responsibilities:
Develop and lead junior, mid-level and senior staff and provide mentorship, direction and motivation on a daily basis and in a strategic manner to ensure AECOM remains an employer of choice for commissioning professionals.
Approval of staff timesheets while ensuring that time is being booked accurately in terms of duration and to the right projects.
Responsible for Leave Approval of your direct reports.
Input into staff performance and development on a continuous basis as well as to Monitor & Motivate your team with respect to Moral.
Assists staff with annual goal setting and monitors progress towards achieving goals.
Personal attributes and skills required:
Ability to develop key and trusted client relationships that can lead to new business quickly.
Demonstrated skills and track record in marketing and business development, including market strategy development, competitive assessment, market positioning and market strategy execution.
Excellent presentation skills necessary for running project meetings and marketing.
Expert communicator; solid verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Effective negotiation and dispute resolution skills, analytical and decision-making.
Demonstrated collaborative skills, both internally and externally.
Experience briefing senior management and non-specialists on complex technical matters.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
Demonstrated track record in managing the delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplined institutional projects.
Demonstrated track record in winning new work from both new and existing clients
Due to the nature or work, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
TS Security Clearance or ability to be cleared.
