Job Overview
Pivot Energy seeks an Assistant Project Manager for the Project Management Department, supporting technical and administrative tasks for renewable energy projects. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and properly administered.
Primary Responsibilities
Help progress projects through development workflow under the direction of the Project Operations Manager and PM Team
Support the organization and review of contracts in the internal document library
Interface with vendors and subcontractors
Assist Project Managers in monitoring subcontractor construction progress, reinforcing safety and quality, and addressing issues during construction
Initiate close‑out procedures and prepare close‑out documents
Collaborate with the Finance Team to prepare EPC‑specific documents and checklist items
Attend and support contractor and utility scheduled meetings
Maintain internal and external data rooms
Support the PM team in managing Procore
Monitor and track schedule changes, flag issues on scheduled milestones
Support review and creation of team processes
Travel to sites as necessary
Required Competencies
2+ years of experience in solar ground‑mount or construction management
2+ years of total professional experience
Proven project‑management experience and knowledge of construction methods
Understanding of basic site diligence documents (geotech, ESAs, permits, interconnect agreements, land‑use agreements)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of scheduling concepts such as CPM and Gantt charts
Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling software
Preferred Competencies
Experience with large design‑build general contractors
Experience with a renewable‑energy IPP that executes its own construction projects
Basic knowledge of Procore or similar project‑management information systems
Basic knowledge of construction lending and project financing
OSHA 30 certification preferred
CAPM, PMP, or DBIA education preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary $80,000–$95,000 per year, plus eligibility for a company bonus plan with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
