STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Structures Technicians to join a respected aviation team in Moline, Illinois. This is a hands‑on position focused on inspecting, servicing, repairing, and modifying aircraft airframes, structural systems, and composite components.
Position Summary
As an Aircraft Structures Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of aircraft. You will support repair and modification projects, read and interpret aircraft blueprints, and ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and components
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints for structural work
Take full ownership of assigned structural projects and deliver quality results
Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Manual and FAA regulations
Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed
Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations
Safeguard customer aircraft, components, and parts at all times
Comply with all Federal, OSHA, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate preferred (Airframe-only also accepted)
3-5 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a focus on structural repair and modification
King Air and/or Citation
aircraft experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience with flight control surface repairs
Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance (AOA badge)
Strong working knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145
