Inside Sales & Customer Care Support Specialist
Reports to
International Sales Manager
Position Summary
The Inside Sales & Customer Care Support Specialist provides cross-functional support to the Inside Sales, Customer Care, and Outside Sales teams to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and support revenue-generating activities.
This role is responsible for order processing, quoting support, and day-to-day coordination with customers and distributors. Over time, the position will assume primary responsibility for international order processing and quoting activities and is designed as a development pathway into a full Inside Sales role as business needs expand.
Essential Functions
Process domestic and international orders accurately and in a timely manner, including all required documentation
Coordinate order entry, confirmations, and related customer communications
Manage international order requirements, including export documentation and compliance support
Assist with freight coordination, carrier selection, shipment tracking, and delivery follow-up
Support Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing and customer follow-up
Assist in the preparation, entry, and tracking of quotes within ERP systems
Support complex quoting activities, including bill of materials (BOM) and spreadsheet-based pricing
Maintain accurate quote documentation and assist with timely follow-up on open opportunities
Update and maintain customer and opportunity data within CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)
Provide professional and timely support to customers, distributors, and internal teams
Proactively support Outside Sales Managers by managing customer inquiries, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring timely and accurate responses that contribute to customer satisfaction and sales conversion
Skills/Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or order processing
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of shipping methods, carriers, and freight coordination
Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred)
Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
Customer service experience required
International order processing or export experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and operate a computer for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
