Overview
The Program Manager role within the Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) team partners with portfolio, strategy, and planning teams across the organization to drive effective enterprise planning and prioritization aligned to strategic goals. This role supports program and portfolio decision‑making, planning maturity, and governance effectiveness in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can facilitate cross‑functional discussions, translate data into insights for senior leaders, and operate comfortably within technology‑enabled planning ecosystems. This is a hybrid role based in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Support business divisions and planning leads in identifying, gathering, and analyzing internal data to inform technology initiative planning and prioritization.
Facilitate portfolio synchronization meetings and provide oversight for tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress against strategic objectives.
Implement and reinforce enterprise planning standards, controls, and governance practices.
Establish, document, and continuously improve enterprise planning and prioritization processes.
Facilitate cross‑enterprise discussions to gather feedback, drive alignment, and inform process and capability enhancements.
Support and administer portfolio management tools (Targetprocess and Jira), partnering with technology teams to ensure alignment with the software delivery lifecycle.
Partner closely with Finance to incorporate cost‑benefit analyses and financial metrics into planning and prioritization decisions.
Prepare planning teams for monthly governance sessions by facilitating readiness reviews and alignment discussions.
Develop clear, concise PowerPoint presentations to support governance and decision‑making with senior leadership.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $70.00/hr.
