Summary
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the SE & ALRE Group, Department of the Navy at the Naval Air Warfare Center of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Your primary function will be to serve as the Acquisition Manager for the E-2C/D Avionics/Next Gen Jammer Support Equipment (SE) team under the PEO(T) Division of the SE Department.

Duties

You will lead the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation and implementation of logistic procurement actions in support of the projects/programs.

You will identify acquisition resource requirements and lead Acquisition Team by assigning workload and providing guidance for SE procurements.

You will determine appropriate acquisition strategies to meet site stand-up/site activation schedules, Initial Outfitting, and funding obligation dates.

You will coordinate work efforts within and across departments and direct all acquisition activities to align with program objectives and milestones.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Managing the acquisition execution requirements of major complex aviation Support Equipment (SE) systems to include technical documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Specifications, Market Research Checklists, Source Selection Plans, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Justifications and Approvals (J&As) for Sole Source procurements.

Evaluating Common and Peculiar SE requirements, developing and evaluating procurement strategies in accordance with SE site stand-up and sustainment requirements, and working with members of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to execute the acquisition of SE procurements within program constraints of cost, schedule and performance.

Managing, monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating the execution of purchase requisitions with the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and/or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and submitting Procurement Card and Business Purchase Agreement (BPA) transactions.

Advising and briefing the Integrated Product Team (IPT) on the development and implementation of procurement strategies and acquisition status to meet logistics support objectives for projects and programs.

Communicating orally and in writing to enhance the quality and effectiveness of SE acquisition support measures.

Coordinating with contracts team to maintain status of acquisition packages.
