About the role
Pico is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support the growth of our enterprise business across the global financial market’s ecosystem within AMRS, EMEA, & APAC. This role focuses on lead generation and pipeline development across both existing strategic accounts and new logo prospects, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, exchanges, and trading technology firms. Working closely with Senior Sales Leaders and Marketing, the BDR will identify new opportunities, build stakeholder intelligence across target organizations, and generate qualified leads for the enterprise sales team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct cold calls to identify and qualify new business opportunities
Execute targeted email campaigns to engage prospects and generate meetings
Act as the primary point of contact for all client requests, administrative, technical matters, and new business inquiries
Support marketing‑led campaigns and events, including following up on leads from industry events and conferences
Develop a deep understanding of Pico’s services and products to effectively communicate value propositions to potential new customers
Identify decision‑makers and technical stakeholders across trading, infrastructure, engineering, and market data teams
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in Salesforce
Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to align on messaging and coordinate follow‑ups
Schedule meetings for the Sales Team and assist in moving deals through early stages of the Sales cycle
Provide feedback to the wider Sales Team on market trends, prospect pain points, and competitor intelligence
Education, Skills, and Background
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an inside sales, business development, or lead generation role, preferably in FinTech, technology, or infrastructure related field
Previous experience selling into financial services or enterprise IT environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills critical
Prior experience with CRM / marketing platforms such as Salesloft, Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn
Self‑starter, team player, energetic, enthusiastic, and organized
Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) would be an advantage

Working Arrangements
This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
New York Pay range
$75,000 - $90,000 USD
