Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized
Front Desk Representative
to join our medical office team. As the first point of contact for patients, this role plays a vital part in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient office operations. The Front Desk Representative is responsible for greeting patients, managing check‑in and check‑out processes, handling scheduling and phone calls, and supporting the clinical and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Register patients, verify insurance information, and update demographic details in the practice management system.
Collect co-pays, balances, and provide receipts in accordance with office policies.
Answer multi-line phone system, route calls, and respond to patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with patient check-out, including scheduling follow-up visits and providing necessary paperwork.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Support office operations by adhering to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or medical office coursework preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or customer service environment preferred. Familiarity with insurance verification, medical terminology, or EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic scheduling systems.
