Strategic Planner Amentum is seeking a Strategic Planner to join our team at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This role supports, plans, and strategies for the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency J5 Division. We are looking for a candidate comfortable operating in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include:
Prepare products incorporating information relevant to the issue, comparing and contrasting alternative solutions, and taking into consideration the strategic implications of the alternative courses of action (Products may be in the form of information papers, background papers, decision papers, or briefings).
Review and analyze policy issues and impacts.
Support the development of sensitive products while adhering to a hard timeline.
Coordinate and communicate (verbally and/or written) with every echelon of DoD.
Contribute to the development and revision of DOD publications.
Support issue with relevant process development; DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE), military manpower and force structure decision papers; and operational and contingency mission actions).
Simplify complex DoD concepts and provide succinct overviews in logical briefing material or discussions.
Seamlessly shift from one task to another with a flexible mindset while handling potential high tempo stress.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have an Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience.
Previous successful experience serving on a Combatant Command, OSD, or Joint Staff Headquarters staff in a strategy position that required briefing senior officers on a day-to-day basis, writing strategy papers/memos, familiarity with high tempo operations/surge, and knowledge of DoD command relationships.
Familiarity with DoD Joint Force Development.
Familiarity with Service force structure (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force).
Proficient with MS Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Navy or USMC experience.
Compensation Details: $130,000 - $136,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
