Business Development Manager Controversy The Business Development Manager Controversy is a full-time role based in Dallas or Houston, responsible for managing strategic and daily marketing and business development initiatives for the Firm's controversy practice groups. Reporting to practice group leaders and collaborating with the Chief Business Development + Marketing Officer, the manager develops programs to enhance visibility, strengthen client relationships, and support growth. Key duties include organizing practice group meetings and coaching, managing marketing materials like proposals and biographies, conducting market research, and providing insights to inform strategy. The role involves internal communications, overseeing awards and surveys, supporting media outreach, and evaluating advertising opportunities to promote practice visibility. Additional responsibilities include reviewing marketing content for accuracy, supporting the Firm's Women's Initiative Group, and coordinating engagement activities. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related fields, with at least six years of experience in professional services marketing, particularly within a legal or similar industry. The position requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms, social media strategy, and excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Strategic thinking, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information are essential for success in this role.
