
Assistant Manager - Traveling Dental/Oral Surgery Office

Role Overview
The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring surgery days run smoothly, teams are supported, and standards are consistently met. This position works closely with leadership to help manage staff, prepare for surgical days, and maintain operational organization across locations.
Core Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership for assistants and support staff
Help coordinate staffing, schedules, and coverage across locations
Oversee surgery day preparation and workflow efficiency
Step in to assist clinically when needed to support the team
Support front office flow and patient check-in processes
Help training, mentoring, and support for assistants
Maintain organization, compliance, and attention to detail
Serve as a point of support between leadership and staff
Help reinforce a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture
Schedule & Locations
Typically 3 surgery days per week (occasionally 4 during high volume, or 2 during slower periods)
1–2 administrative/support days per week, often remote or based in Provo
Regular schedule includes:
At least 2 Wednesdays per month in Provo
Thursdays in Layton
Fridays in Sandy
2 Saturdays per month
Locations:
Layton, Sandy, South Jordan, and Provo
Qualifications
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Willing to be hands-on and lead by example
Dental assisting or healthcare experience preferred (oral surgery experience is a plus, but not required)
Spanish speaking strongly preferred
Hours
35–40 hours per week
