Family Medicine PhysicianPosition Summary The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous medical care to patients across the lifespan. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and long-term patient relationships while coordinating care across the healthcare continuum.Key Responsibilities Provide primary care services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions Deliver preventive care, including health screenings and immunizations Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and results Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services as needed Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness, and self-management Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiativesPractice Setting Outpatient primary care clinic with optional inpatient or hospital rounding, depending on practice model May include call coverage or extended hours as requiredPatient Population Patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics Broad range of acute and chronic medical conditionsQualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state DEA registration or eligibilitySkills & Competencies Broad clinical knowledge across all age groups Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care Ability to manage multiple patient needs efficientlyWork Environment Primary care practice setting Team-based, collaborative care model Diverse patient population
