Overview
We are seeking candidates for a Video Production Coordinator (Part-Time) position with a leading investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This position will gain hands‑on experience in studio and on-location video production, equipment management, and post‑production tasks. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or candidates looking to start their career in video production. This is a 6+ month contract position that will pay $28‑33/hr (depending on experience) within a 24‑hour workweek. This position is required to be on‑site 3 days per week in the Boston office.
Responsibilities
Assist with organizing, maintaining, and preparing studio equipment for recording sessions.
Support the video team during studio productions, including setup and operation of audio, camera, and lighting equipment under supervision.
Assist in preparing, packing, transporting, and setting up equipment for off‑site shoots.
Provide logistical support, including coordination tasks such as catering arrangements.
Capture and assist in editing video and photo content for events.
Collaborate with marketing, social media, and events teams to deliver content.
Maintain flexibility to work evenings or extended hours as needed.
Assist in preparing call sheets and crew lists.
Support video transcription processes and ensure timely delivery.
Research emerging technologies and equipment to recommend improvements.
Track purchases and expenses while gaining exposure to budget management.
Assist with procurement and management of digital media assets.
Coordinate with event teams to finalize and deliver video content.
Organize and prepare files for editing workflows.
Assist with basic editing tasks such as trimming footage and adding template‑based graphics.
Upload and manage content on platforms such as Vimeo and internal systems.
Support small‑scale editing projects under team guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
1+ year of experience in video production, equipment handling, or post‑production preferred.
Basic understanding of video production equipment (training provided).
Familiarity with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus.
Exposure to studio systems (e.g., Blackmagic Design switchers) or cameras like Sony A7 and Sony FX6 is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
