A growing communications team is seeking an experienced professional to lead client programs and manage day-to-day communications initiatives. This role is well suited for someone with strong agency experience who is comfortable owning client relationships, guiding internal teams, and delivering strategic, high-quality communications work across multiple accounts. Ideal candidates will have automotive and/or B2B experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of client accounts
  • Lead the development and execution of communications strategies and programs
  • Manage workflows, timelines, budgets, and reporting across multiple engagements
  • Provide clear, thoughtful counsel to clients on communications priorities
  • Oversee earned media efforts and identify opportunities for proactive coverage
  • Develop and edit client-facing materials including press releases, media pitches, messaging frameworks, bylines, and presentations
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant media and industry contacts
  • Monitor news, trends, and competitive activity to inform communications opportunities
  • Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables
  • Collaborate with internal partners to support integrated communications efforts
  • Contribute to new business efforts and identify opportunities for account growth

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications with Agency experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of leading client accounts and earned media programs
  • Strong writing and editing skills across a variety of formats
  • Experience managing multiple projects or accounts simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically while executing at a tactical level
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
