Production Technician Specialist

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Production Technician Specialist in Niagara Falls, NY, for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks supporting production units, development/prototype builds, and preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Work typically includes interaction with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel.

Required Skills

Experience using a microscope to assemble components

Strong visual acuity while working with microscopes

Experience with miniature precision devices and components

Precise hand/eye coordination

Technical and detail-oriented mindset

Ability to adapt to changing part conditions

Ability to adapt to detailed part inconsistencies

Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Skills

Experience working in an ISO/clean room environment

Experience using a microscope to assemble miniature parts into assemblies

IPC J-STD-001 solder certification

What You’ll Do

Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of production and preproduction operations

Support developmental or prototype requirements in product development and manufacturing engineering environments

Complete modifications and rework as needed

Perform quality testing activities as required

Collaborate and communicate with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel
