About the Position
The Social Media Specialist is a key member of the Propelled Brands marketing team, responsible for executing and supporting social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation across multiple brands. This role manages and evolves the “On Your Behalf (OYB)” Social Media Program, providing hands‑on support to franchisees with both organic and paid social media efforts.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this position plays an important role in strengthening franchisee success through social media guidance, content execution, community engagement, and performance tracking, while ensuring consistency with brand standards across all platforms.

You bring a strong service mindset and enjoy supporting franchisees and internal stakeholders. You are proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple brands, platforms, and priorities at once. You have a deep understanding of the evolving social media landscape and are motivated by building communities, driving engagement, and delivering measurable results.

Essential Functions

Produce original content, including design, copy, and video edits, according to the brand guidelines and strategy

Create and maintain monthly digital media calendars for designated brands

Create, request, and organize all marketing creative assets

Schedule, test, and post social media content across multiple platforms for the OYB program using Rallio and other platforms

Manage OYB enrollments, add them to the system, set up and optimize their social media pages, and create automated reports

Manage influencer relationships, platforms, and develop influencer marketing programs

Build relationships with the Propelled brands’ community and provide community management, alerting franchisees to comments that need their attention

Set up social listening for keywords and target audiences, use insights to refine social strategy, and identify trending hashtags, keywords

Maintain social media marketing and project timelines to track all activities and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met

Measure and report on core social media KPIs, track the performance of all social media channels and make recommendations for improvements

Provide general social media support and education to marketing team members, as well as other corporate departments

Educate and assist franchisees with local reviews and reputation management

Collaborate with content, creative, and video teams to produce content for social channels

What We Need
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Marketing, or a related field preferred

3–5 years of experience in social media and/or digital marketing, preferably in an agency, franchise, or multi‑location environment

At least 2 years of hands‑on social media management experience, including both organic and paid campaigns

Proven experience growing social media audiences, increasing engagement, and generating leads (portfolio required)

Experience supporting multiple stakeholders, brands, or locations preferred

Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Meta, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google My Business

Experience with social media management and listening tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Keywords, Google Analytics, Google Trends, Google AdWords) or similar tools

Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or SEMrush

Experience creating content using graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Animoto, Adobe Creative Suite)

Additional Requirements

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling social media content

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action

Proactive, resourceful, and solutions‑oriented approach

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support and guide franchisees and internal stakeholders

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, platforms, and digital trends

Professional, responsive, and thoughtful approach to community engagement and communication
