Contract Video Editor

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Video Editor Intern on behalf of our client, a consulting company specializing in R&D tax credits. This role will support the marketing team by editing engaging video content for social media, testimonials, case studies, campaigns, events, internal communications, and sales support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have moderate to advanced editing skills and a strong interest in storytelling, marketing, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:

Edit short-to-medium length marketing videos, social media clips, testimonials, and campaign videos.
Cut down long-form footage into shorter, engaging content pieces.
Improve video pacing to ensure content feels natural, professional, and easy to follow.
Add basic titles, captions, lower thirds, logos, and simple transitions.
Adjust audio levels and clean up minor sound issues when possible.
Export videos in the correct formats for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, websites, and internal use.
Organize footage, project files, graphics, music, and final video exports.
Support testimonial and case study video projects.
Make revisions and updates based on feedback from marketing leadership.
Assist in creating content that reflects a professional services brand focused on trust, clarity, and credibility.
Requirements Include:

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Video Production, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field preferred.
Experience:

Previous internship, freelance, academic, or personal experience editing video content.
Experience creating short-form social media videos preferred.
Experience editing interviews, testimonials, or talking-head style videos is a plus.
Skills:

Moderate to advanced editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Ability to cut footage, improve pacing, adjust audio levels, add captions, and export final files.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple video versions and assets.
Attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction.
Basic understanding of storytelling and video composition.
Certifications:

No certifications required, but Adobe Creative Suite certifications are a plus.
Knowledge:

Knowledge of video formatting requirements across social media and digital platforms.
Familiarity with basic motion graphics, color correction, and audio cleanup techniques preferred.
Understanding of branding and marketing-focused video content preferred.
