Inside Sales Account Executive
Savvas Learning Company is seeking an Inside Sales Account Executive to sell its suite of supplemental, acceleration, and assessment products and services in the Western United States. The role focuses on products such as iLit, SuccessMaker, SIOP, Words Their Way, Palabras a su Paso, D'Nealian Handwriting, Savvas Essentials of Foundational Reading, and the Savvas Math and Literacy Screeners and Diagnostic Assessments. The account executive will build a sales pipeline and relationships, employing comprehensive RTI and ELL solutions for school districts.
Primary Responsibilities
Implement strategic sales market plans to reach sales targets.
Answer potential customer questions and follow up.
Promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives to achieve annual targets.
Work with customers to better understand their needs and goals.
Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Partners to increase business performance.
Requirements
A minimum of one year of experience in edtech sales or a closely related education‑focused sales environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or equivalent experience.
Master’s degree in Business, Education, Technology or a postgraduate qualification preferred.
In‑depth knowledge of inside and field sales and marketing best practices.
Strong understanding of the Advanced Placement markets and competitors.
Persuasive and goal‑oriented mindset.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Salesforce.com.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Additional Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of the Savvas Advanced Placement line of programs.
Minimum of three years of sales experience or a combination of teaching and/or experience in a similar edtech role.
Ability to determine customer needs and provide resolutions to enhance customer loyalty.
Previous success as a strategic sales thinker with exceptional communication skills.
Comfortable and enthusiastic working on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Interpersonal skills that encourage trust and transparency internally and externally.
Strong understanding and influence over decision makers.
Ability to provide exceptional oral presentations for internal and external audiences.
Flexible and adaptable approach to a changing organization and marketplace.
