Position Overview
Tekberry is seeking a Digital Media Manager to support our client within the Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of Research. This role will lead day-to-day social media and email communications while supporting digital brand integration efforts during an organizational merger.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to manage content strategy, drive engagement, and support brand consistency across multiple digital channels in a fast‑paced academic environment.

Social Media Management

Manage daily social media activity across platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram)

Plan, create, and publish content aligned with campaigns and organizational messaging

Develop and execute campaigns to promote events, programs, and announcements

Monitor engagement metrics and compile performance reports

Coordinate with freelancers and internal stakeholders on content initiatives

Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent posting cadence

Upload and manage video content (e.g., YouTube)

Email Communications

Draft, design, test, and deploy 1-4 weekly email newsletters

Write engaging copy and subject lines for diverse audiences

Design templates and graphics aligned with brand standards

Manage email lists, segmentation, and compliance

Conduct A/B testing to optimize performance

Coordinate with copyeditors and stakeholders for quality assurance

Merger & Brand Integration

Support consolidation of digital brands and social media accounts

Align messaging, tone, and visual identity across merged platforms

Assist with account migration, archiving, and updates

Track metrics to evaluate integration success

Content Development

Create graphics, videos, and multimedia content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Collaborate with web teams to ensure cross-platform consistency

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree + 3+ years of experience in digital media, communications, or related field (or equivalent)

Proven experience managing institutional social media accounts

Experience with email marketing platforms (Emma, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)

Strong copywriting and editing skills

Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)

Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Khoros, etc.)

Ability to analyze metrics and optimize campaigns

Strong project management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education, research, or technology environments

Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital content

Work Environment & Requirements

Hybrid role (onsite presence required weekly)

Standard office and digital production environment

Frequent computer use and collaboration across teams
