About this role
We're looking for a strategic, creative, and execution‑driven VP of Marketing to lead Xe's global marketing function. This senior leadership role is responsible for building and scaling a full‑spectrum marketing engine—from performance channels to brand—that drives awareness, customer acquisition, and long‑term loyalty across B2C and B2B.
Reporting to the CMO, you will own five core marketing pillars: Paid Channels, Organic Channels, Lifecycle Marketing, Brand & Design, and PR. You'll be at the center of our brand transformation, working cross‑functionally with product, growth, and regional teams to shape how Xe shows up in the world.
If you're excited by the challenge of building from the front—crafting the strategy and getting in the weeds to make it happen—this is a career‑defining opportunity. We're a lean team that moves fast, takes bold bets, and empowers leaders with real autonomy.
Responsibilities
Paid Channels
Own the global paid media strategy across Search (Google/Bing), Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), Programmatic, and emerging platforms.
Manage paid media budgets across markets, optimizing channel mix for efficiency, reach, and scale.
Lead audience segmentation, creative testing, and bid strategy to maximize ROI.
Align paid acquisition efforts with regional go‑to‑market plans and local market nuances.
Define and track key metrics: CAC, ROAS, CPL, and conversion rates across the funnel.
Organic Channels
Lead global SEO strategy—technical, on-page, and off-page—to grow Xe's organic search presence and capture high‑intent traffic.
Develop a content marketing roadmap that supports product discovery, user education, and brand authority across web and app.
Own Xe's social media presence (organic)—building an editorial calendar and voice that drives engagement and community.
Collaborate with local and regional teams on content localization and channel distribution.
Monitor organic performance and iterate based on search trends, algorithm updates, and competitor analysis.
Lifecycle Marketing
Build and scale CRM and lifecycle programs across email, SMS, push, and in‑product messaging.
Design personalized journeys tied to user behaviors, lifecycle milestones, and product usage patterns to boost engagement and LTV.
Implement segmentation, automation, and A/B testing frameworks to continuously improve performance.
Partner with product and analytics to align lifecycle strategy with activation, retention, and monetization goals.
Track metrics including open rates, CTR, reactivation rate, churn reduction, and revenue influenced.
Brand & Design
Own Xe's global brand strategy—positioning, narrative, visual identity, and tone of voice—ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Lead an in‑house design function (or agency partnerships) to produce world‑class creative assets across digital, print, and experiential.
Champion brand integrity across all marketing channels, products, and regional markets.
Translate brand strategy into compelling campaigns that resonate with both B2C and B2B audiences.
Define brand health metrics and track awareness, perception, and equity over time.
PR & Communications
Lead Xe's global PR strategy—earned media, thought leadership, executive comms, and crisis communications.
Build and manage relationships with key journalists, editors, and media outlets across priority markets.
Develop a pipeline of newsworthy stories—from product launches and data insights to company milestones.
Position Xe's spokespeople as credible voices in fintech, currency, and global finance conversations.
Ensure PR activity is aligned with brand positioning and broader marketing campaigns.
Strategic Leadership & Cross‑Functional
Define and own the global marketing roadmap, translating business objectives into channel‑level strategies and quarterly plans.
Build a high‑performing, diverse marketing team—hiring, coaching, and developing talent across all five pillars.
Partner closely with Growth, Product, Sales, and Regional teams to ensure alignment on targets, messaging, and go‑to‑market execution.
Build scalable measurement frameworks and reporting dashboards for visibility across channels and campaigns.
Own the marketing budget, allocating resources across pillars based on performance and business priorities.
Position Requirements
8+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally within fintech, SaaS, e‑commerce, or high‑growth digital environments with global exposure.
Proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions across both brand and performance disciplines.

Strong analytical mindset—fluent in campaign reporting, attribution modeling, funnel analysis, and experimentation frameworks.
Experience with tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Iterable or Braze, Semrush or Ahrefs, and media monitoring platforms.
Exceptional storyteller and communicator—able to inspire a creative team and influence senior stakeholders with equal confidence.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional and cross‑regional initiatives, working effectively with product, analytics, legal, and compliance teams.
Team leadership experience—able to inspire, coach, and manage high‑performing teams while staying actively involved in execution.
