As a Product Developer you will support day-to-day product development activities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing. This role involves ensuring projects adhere to timelines and meet quality standards by maintaining vendor communication, managing sample approvals, and facilitating the development process from concept to final production. You will also be responsible for organizing materials, monitoring bulk fabric approvals, and assisting with the distribution of samples to ensure smooth execution of all development phases.
This role will work a hybrid schedule and will be in our office in Austin, TX 3 days a week. To be considered you must live within a commutable distance.
Duties and responsibilities
Support day-to-day product development activities from concept to product development adoption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Technical Product Development, Product Manager, and Sourcing, to ensure smooth workflows.
Source Raw material in line with established Sourcing Strategy.
Develop a strong line of communication with the supply base to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
Address issues during the product development and manufacturing stages.
Provide oversight of the product development lifecycle and ensure seamless execution across all phases.
Qualifications
Product Development Lifecycle Knowledge – Expertise in guiding a product from concept to commercialization.
Material and Fabric Knowledge – technical knowledge of fabric attributes, and garment construction.
Production Process Oversight – Familiarity with production timelines and quality assurance processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working with design, merchandising, and production teams.
Vendor Relations – Strong vendor communication skills for sourcing and managing external partnerships.
Problem-Solving – Ability to troubleshoot issues during product development and manufacturing stages.
Timelines and Deadlines – Exceptional organizational skills to ensure adherence to development and production timelines.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) – Familiarity with PLM systems for tracking development stages.
Creativity and Innovation – Ability to think creatively to solve design and development challenges.
