Creative Video Producer – NC State University Athletics
The Creative Video Producer will tell the story of NC State Athletics through the creation of social media, recruiting, and feature storytelling video content. This individual will be instrumental in developing a strategic brand and identity for a number of NC State University’s varsity sports programs and will manage and develop the creative video department’s student worker program.
Responsibilities
Work alongside the Assistant AD for Creative Video to provide industry‑leading creative video content for all 23 Wolfpack athletic programs.
Ideate, shoot, edit, and produce social media, recruiting, and feature content for assigned sports.
Manage the student worker program and develop the knowledge and skill sets of student workers.
Create feature video content that can be repurposed for video board shows, live events, and the ACC Network/ESPN.
Maintain NC State Athletics brand standards while developing a strategic creative video plan for assigned teams.
Develop video opportunities to capitalize on personal branding for coaches and student athletes.
Stay current on social media video trends.
Possess physical capability to carry heavy equipment up to 25‑30lbs.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned based on organizational needs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience in a broadcast television, radio, or emerging media environment.
Proficiency in Avid non‑linear video editing or comparable software.
Experience shooting live sporting events and creating highlight packages.
Experience posting packages to web platforms.
Familiarity with social media trends and analytics.
Capacity to manage student interns and develop their creative video skills.
Valid NC Driver’s License required.
