Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Brand Manager responsible for identifying new product opportunities, developing business cases, and implementing positioning strategies within designated budgets and organizational guidelines to achieve market share and revenue targets. The role involves overseeing promotional materials, conducting launch meetings, ensuring effective marketing plan implementation, mentoring the team, and collaborating with sales teams and healthcare professionals to drive Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. The candidate will support the team in performance appraisals, talent development, and recruitment, and will engage in sales planning and review.

Roles & Responsibilities

New Products conceptualisation and planning: gather feedback on unmet therapeutic needs, identify new product opportunities, and present business cases to vertical and country heads for timely product selection aligned with short‑ and long‑term objectives.

New Products Launch Planning: prepare product manuals, design positioning strategies, and oversee successful product launches through effective communication and collaboration with regional sales teams.

Post‑Launch Audit of New Products: coordinate with sales teams, review performance, and initiate corrective actions to ensure new products meet or exceed sales projections.

Branding and Promotions: conduct market research, finalize positioning strategies, and oversee promotion strategies by collaborating with ad agencies and implementing marketing plans aligned with business goals.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programs: identify CME needs, invite speakers and doctors, and ensure successful execution of CME programs to build lasting relationships with healthcare professionals.

Team Leadership: conduct performance appraisals, mentor team members, collaborate with HR for recruitment and talent development, and maximise team performance and retention.

Sales Planning & Review: gather feedback from regional sales managers (RSMs), devise region‑specific strategies, and incorporate regional needs into the product plan to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in any Science stream.

7‑10 years of experience in Product Management within the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Technical Skills

Understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical industry—competition, customer behaviour and prescription habits.

Strategic mindset to develop and implement long‑term product strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Analytical skills to assess market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.

Financial management skills to develop and manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimise cost control.

Excellent communication skills to convey complex scientific and medical information to diverse audiences.

Ability to analyse market data, clinical trial results and sales performance to inform decision‑making and product portfolio strategies.

Adaptability to changes in the pharmaceutical market, including advancements in therapies, healthcare policies and regulatory updates.
