Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic

Assistant Editor

to join the Haymarket Medical Network to support its network of clinical websites. This position is located in our

New York City

office, with three days on-site (Tuesday-Thursday) and two days remote.
Job Overview

The Haymarket Medical Network Assistant Editor is responsible for providing editorial support integral to the development of digital clinical content for an audience of healthcare practitioners. The Assistant Editor will work across multiple medical brands, ensuring the efficient posting of news and feature articles to WordPress, overseeing retrieval of reference resources, and optimizing social media engagement, among other tasks.
Responsibilities

Use WordPress to publish content on multiple websites
Assist in the creation, writing, and editing of content
Oversee the procurement of reference materials for content development
Conduct photo research for graphic procurement
Maintain Haymarket’s social media presence across various platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky)
Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism/Communications or Biological Sciences preferred
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets) and Microsoft Word required
Proficiency with WordPress or another content management system preferred
Proficiency with Workfront a plus
Excellent reading comprehension, listening and analytical skills, and oral and written communication skills
A successful record of handling multiple simultaneous projects independently and adhering to deadlines
Experience as a strong team player who can work independently and cross-functionally within an organization and follow through on all assigned tasks
Knowledge of SEO best practices, social media, and other digital promotional strategies

The salary range for this position is $50,000–$55,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
