Associate – Business Development and Investor Relations (Chicago)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Investor Relations and Business Development team. This role is central to the firm’s capital formation and client engagement efforts, offering exposure across investor communications, reporting, marketing, and fundraising initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with direct exposure to senior leadership and sophisticated investors.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for a base of 200+ private clients, delivering high-quality, timely client service
Coordinate with investors, fund administrators, and internal teams (legal, compliance, operations, accounting) to support subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers
Manage investor onboarding/offboarding and maintain accurate client records
Maintain CRM systems and internal trackers to monitor capital activity and investor engagement
Prepare investor communications, including performance updates and monthly reporting materials
Ensure marketing materials and client communications are accurate and up to date
Support business development and capital raising initiatives alongside senior leadership
Maintain external databases with fund performance and NAV data
Coordinate quarterly DDQ updates across internal stakeholders
Assist in planning investor meetings, events, and conferences
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in investor relations, client service, or a related role within financial services (alternatives experience preferred)
Strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with reporting tools is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
