Brand Strategy

invites applications for a

Graphic Designer II

to design and produce University of Montana (UM) publications and advertising (both in print and electronically), while maintaining the high-level integrity of the UM brand and visual identity. This position reports to the Director of Brand Strategy.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Senior Graphic Designer in creating a diverse range of visual communications, including: publications, branding campaigns, and special events packages
Develop other presentation materials and products to meet the University's communications and marketing needs
Assist with brand strategy projects and collaborations
Assist with trademarks and licensing projects
Collaborate with various clients across campus as well as off-site vendors, ensuring strict confidentiality while handling sensitive information
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma and two (2) years (put experience) experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Excellent print, digital design skills, and computer skills
Knowledge of the creative process in order to effectively gauge workloads and manage deadlines
Excellent organization and communication skills
Unwavering attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to multitask between small and large-scale projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere
Ability to communicate ideas to colleagues and clients in an articulate, professional manner
Collaborative spirit and excellent people skills
Ability to take direction and work in a creative team environment, as well as work on projects independently
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, or related field
Knowledge of processes regarding branding, marketing and outreach
Knowledge of licensed print vendors available to produce publications and promotional items
Knowledge of brand guidelines
Ability to act as a lead or functional supervisor for temporary staff members or student workers

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm*, 12 months/year, *some nights and weekends possible

Probationary Period:

Six (6) months minimum
