Ignition Graduate Development Program
National Interstate is a commercial transportation insurer and a member of Great American Insurance Group. The Ignition program is a month‑long cohort that equips recent graduates with a comprehensive understanding of our business model, value proposition, and the impact of individual roles within the organization.

The program takes place in June 2026 and the position will be based in the Richfield, Ohio office.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

Conduct market research and networking to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.

Create and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels.

Engage with existing and prospective customers to build relationships and achieve division profit goals.

Monitor and analyze marketing activity performance, tracking statistics on prospect lists, hit ratios, and business retention.

Support underwriting in fact gathering, underwriting, and pricing of renewals.

Assist in preparing reports to analyze and develop existing business profiles and new business quality and quantity.

Promote additional coverage/programs to existing accounts to achieve premium development and retention goals.

Assist with coordinating/transferring books of business and ongoing contract management.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Scope of Job / Qualifications

Participates in a formal 6‑month to 1‑year training program under close supervision.

Develops a foundational understanding of marketing principles, practices, and tools such as CRM systems and email marketing platforms.

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

May require 10‑20% day and overnight travel to visit agents, brokers, or clients.

Builds excellent customer relationships and provides marketing product and service opportunities.
