Executive Director, US Business Development & Licensing
Position Location
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site. Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Major Accountabilities
Acts as subject matter expert in 2 -3 key domains – Builds network of subject matter experts within and outside the Sandoz organization – Builds lasting strategic capabilities as part of each project to enable local teams to continue to deliver on project objectives going forward – Acts as sparring partner for EC / EC -1 members and Unit Strategy Heads / Unit Strategy members – Serves as a reference to the Sandoz organization on behalf of the Head of Corporate/Unit Strategy – Leads and independently owns major corporate strategy projects prioritized by the Sandoz, the CEO and the Executive Committee (e.g., Global/Unit Strategic Planning process ) – Supports other Corporate / Unit strategy team members to drive projects successfully – Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events/special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt – Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).
Key Performance Indicators
Successfully manages 3-4+ major projects to final output.
Successfully completes smaller efforts and/or ad-hoc requests from CEO and EC.
Delivery of agreed health improvement partnership projects on time and within budget.
Feedback from project sponsors and key stakeholders (internal and external).
What you’ll bring to the role: Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or JD is preferred.
Fluent in English; Foreign language(s) is a plus.
15 years of Generic Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred, with proven track record of executed Licensing and M&A deals.
Strong network connection with Health Care Companies, Private Equity, and Investment Banks.
Experience across several key functional areas (e.g., product development, regulatory affairs, product management, marketing, business development, legal, finance, investment banking, etc.).
Understanding of pharmaceutical forecasting and competitive dynamics in the pharmaceutical industry, including financing analysis and product P&L modelling.
Strategic thinking & planning.
Enterprise thinking.
Highly collaborative skills across boundaries.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between
$241,200 – $447,900 USD/year;
however, while salary ranges are effective from 01/01/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
On 30 September 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
