Overview
We’re looking for a creative, organized, and data-driven Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy and curiosity to their work, enjoys building community, and is eager to learn while contributing fresh ideas.

In this role, you’ll assist with strengthening our brand presence and engagement across global social media platforms, using performance data and insights to guide content decisions and continuous improvement. You’ll help manage and optimize content across key platforms (such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others as needed), ensuring consistency with brand voice, tone, and best practices in a regulated industry.

You’ll research trending topics, platform trends, and cultural conversations, then translate them into relevant, insurance-focused content that informs, engages, and adds value to our audiences. You’ll also support social listening and sentiment monitoring, helping to surface insights, risks, and opportunities that inform future content and community engagement strategies.

Working cross-functionally with teammates across web, video, graphic design, PR, and data, you’ll play an active role in integrated marketing initiatives while developing your skills in analytics, reporting, and social strategy execution.

Responsibilities

Plan, create, and manage social media content across key platforms, including organic and introductory paid social efforts

Support content strategy and planning, including thought leadership, campaign support, and event promotion

Design and publish social media graphics; collaborate closely with internal designers and contribute original visual ideas

Manage day-to-day community management, including engagement, responses, and brand voice consistency

Help improve and monitor company presence and reviews on platforms such as Glassdoor, Indeed, and Google

Manage and support our employee advocacy platform, encouraging internal participation and amplification

Create and deliver clear, insightful social media reports for various internal stakeholders

Track and analyze performance using marketing metrics such as engagement rate, click-through rate (CTR), impressions, and clicks

Coordinate with external partners and contributors (e.g., reaching out to insurance agents or partners to source content ideas and feedback)

Stay adaptable and responsive in a fast-moving environment, shifting priorities as needed

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience

1+ years of experience in social media or digital marketing (2–3 years ideal)

Strong internship experience in digital marketing, with a focus on social media

A portfolio showcasing social media graphic design and content examples

Foundational experience or coursework in:

Paid social media

Social analytics and reporting

Content strategy and planning

Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing or content tools (e.g., social scheduling platforms, analytics tools, generative writing/design assistants)

General understanding of marketing and social performance metrics

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; kind, collaborative, and professional

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Comfortable working cross-functionally with diverse marketing teams

Curious, eager to learn, and excited to bring fresh ideas to the table

The expected salary range for this role is $45,000-$65,000/year.
