Position Summary
The Integrated Marketing Strategist develops and executes integrated marketing campaigns that increase museum visitation, public program participation, restaurant and café traffic, and event venue bookings, while supporting engagement with members, donors, and sponsors. This role translates institutional priorities into proactive marketing initiatives and defines campaign direction across channels, ensuring alignment of messaging, content, and execution. Working in partnership with the Marketing & Communications Manager, this individual drives community connection and audience growth, leads cross‑functional campaign planning, and supports departmental workflow through sprint‑based project coordination.

This role supports both First Americans Museum Foundation (501c3) and 39 Enterprises LLC, which operates the restaurant, café, catering, and venue rentals at FAM.

Duties and Responsibilities

Integrated Marketing Strategy & Campaigns

Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting exhibitions, public programs, dining & catering, event initiatives, and development priorities

Translate organizational priorities into targeted marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners

Define campaign direction, including target audiences, key objectives, and channel strategy

Identify audience segments and visitor engagement opportunities

Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements

Campaign Coordination & Workflow

Facilitate sprint planning and coordinate campaign execution with Marketing & Communications Manager and Marketing Operations Specialist

Develop and maintain institutional marketing calendar and campaign timelines

Coordinate deliverables across communications, digital, and creative functions to ensure alignment with campaign direction

Support marketing request intake and prioritization across departments

Audience Growth & Promotion

Identify opportunities to increase museum attendance, program participation, and revenue‑generating activities across visitor, dining, event, and member audiences

Coordinate market and audience research

Lead advertising and promotional planning aligned with campaign objectives

Manage assigned campaign budgets and track expenditures

Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners

Support procurement and contract processes

Manage vendor relationships and budget allocations to support campaign execution and advance the museum’s visibility, brand presence, and community engagement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in marketing or a related field

3–6 years marketing or campaign experience required; 6+ years preferred

Demonstrated success developing & executing integrated marketing initiatives

Strong project coordination and organizational skills

Familiarity with Agile or sprint‑based workflows preferred

Experience managing multiple priorities and overlapping deadlines

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, ClickUp, Constant Contact, Dropbox, HubSpot, Mailchimp, OptiSigns, Roller, and WordPress not necessary, but considered a plus

Ability to demonstrate high cultural competency with Native communities preferred

Nonprofit, museum, cultural, tourism, or hospitality marketing experience preferred

Supervision
The position reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Physical Requirements
Dexterity adequate to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds; may involve extended periods of walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, kneeling, handling, feeling, climbing, and twisting; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. Ability to travel outside the Oklahoma City vicinity from time to time via automobile and/or airplane.
