Job Description:
The Customer Allocations Lead
owns the end‑to‑end allocation process when customer demand exceeds available supply . This role serves as the central point of coordination across Customer Supply Chain, Sales, IDP/Customer Planning, and senior leadership, ensuring limited inventory is allocated in a disciplined, transparent, and commercially sound manner.
The role balances analytical rigor, operational execution, and stakeholder decision‑making, and is accountable for ensuring allocations protect strategic customers while minimizing downstream operational risk and organizational friction.
Core Responsibilities:
Owning the
end‑to‑end customer allocation process
when demand exceeds available supply
Leading
allocation governance , including evaluating requests, building recommendations, and supporting leadership decisions
Performing
data‑driven analysis and scenario modeling
to assess risks to customer service, promotions, and downstream supply chain performance
Executing and maintaining
allocations in S/4 and supporting systems , ensuring accuracy, timing, and communication
Acting as the
central coordinator
between Sales, Customer Supply Chain, IDP/Customer Planning, and senior leadership
Supporting
leadership forums
with clear allocation insights, implications, and pre‑reads
Driving
process improvement
efforts to reduce future allocation needs through better forecasting, planning, and system enablement.
Must Have Skills :
5 years of Customer Allocation management experience
Strong
analytical and financial acumen , with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs between demand, supply, and customer prioritization
Deep understanding of
customer supply chain flows , inventory management, and execution constraints
Excel fundamentals (pivot, etc)
Quick learning of new systems
