POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Student Worker- Videographer for Strategic Communications assists with recording, editing, and producing Video Content for the use of the University across a multitude of mediums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recording, editing, and exporting digital material of University events and other meetings, as determined by the University calendar and departments across campus.
Attend University-sponsored events to gain video footage to use for social media shorts and other videos that need to be created for promotional use.
Carry out production duties for the creation of original Media Center content, such as setting up backdrops and lighting, operating HD and DSLR cameras, and recording audio using wired and wireless microphones.
Assisting with the post-production process, such as shooting B-roll, editing, exporting, and archiving.
Content production for social media platforms.
Other Communications duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience will be learned during the work process. A Bachelor's degree (in progress) in a Digital Marketing or Business Communications field is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a basic understanding of editing software, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, and other tools needed to produce materials for University communications.
