We are looking for a volunteer editor to review and polish written materials such as short articles, reports, and stories about outdoor safety. You do not need to be a professional copyeditor, but you should have a good eye for clarity, flow, and tone. An interest in hiking, search and rescue, or outdoor recreation is a plus.
Key responsibilities
Edit drafts of about 1,500 to 2,000 words for grammar, readability, and consistency
Provide light feedback on structure and transitions
Ensure language is clear and accessible to new hikers and general readers
Return edits within a few days when possible
Who you are
Strong command of written English
Comfortable using Google Docs or Word track-changes
Reliable and detail oriented
Interested in outdoor topics or public safety education

Flexible schedule, about 2 to 4 hours per project
